Online Translator
The Online Translator is a free tool for translating between Chinese, English, and Japanese. It can auto-detect the source language — Chinese input is translated to English and English to Chinese by default — or you can set the direction manually. Translation happens as you type, with a live character count and one-click copying of the result.
It is completely free with no registration — just open the page and start typing. Translation is performed by a server-side API, and your text is used only to produce the translation. Great for quick lookups, reading foreign-language material, writing emails, and cross-border communication.
How to Use
- Type or paste your text into the left panel.
- Pick the source language, or leave it on auto-detect.
- Choose the target language on the right: Chinese, English, or Japanese.
- Wait a moment — the translation appears automatically.
- Click the copy button to grab the result.
FAQ
Is the online translator free?
Yes, completely free with no registration, login, or usage limits.
Which languages are supported?
It translates between Chinese, English, and Japanese in any direction. With auto-detect enabled, Chinese input is translated to English and English input to Chinese by default, and you can switch the target language at any time.
Do I need to click a translate button?
No. The tool translates as you type — about half a second after you pause, translation starts automatically. Changing the source or target language also retranslates instantly, and the copy icon in the result panel copies the output with one click.
Is the translation done locally? How accurate is it?
Translation runs through SodaTool's server-side translation API, so your text is sent to the server to generate the result — avoid submitting highly sensitive or confidential content. Machine translation handles everyday language well, but professional documents should be proofread by a human.
