Video Metadata Remover is a free online privacy tool that batch-removes recorded time, creation time, location, device, software, title, author, comments, and other metadata from MP4, MOV, M4V, MKV, WebM, AVI, and OGV videos.
It removes common global and stream tags, chapters, and data tracks that may carry location telemetry, then rebuilds the container locally with FFmpeg.wasm. Audio and video streams are copied directly without re-encoding or compression.
How to Use

FAQ
Are my videos uploaded to a server?
No. Reading, metadata removal, container rebuilding, and result generation all happen in your current browser.
Will the processed video be compressed?
No. Stream copy preserves the original video and audio codecs without re-encoding. The file size may change slightly when the container is rebuilt, but image quality is unchanged.
What video information can be removed?
Common recorded and creation times, GPS location, device and software details, titles, authors, comments, chapters, and telemetry data tracks are removed. Technical information required for playback, such as codecs and duration, remains.
Will orientation, resolution, or audio tracks change?
No. Orientation, resolution, HDR and color information, video and audio streams, and subtitle content are preserved.
