Temporary Text Share
Temporary Text Share encrypts notes, configuration snippets, meeting notes, and other plain text, then creates a link that opens directly in the browser. Each share can hold up to 512 KiB and expire from 1 hour to 180 days.
Text is encrypted in the database and displayed strictly as plain text, so HTML and Markdown are never executed. You can also protect a share with an automatically generated 4-character access code.
How to Use
- Enter or paste the plain text you want to share
- Choose an expiry and optionally enable an access code
- Save, then copy the link and the one-time displayed access code
- The recipient opens the link to read or copy the text
FAQ
How much text can I save?
Each share supports up to 512 KiB measured as UTF-8 bytes. Save larger content as a file and use Temporary File Transfer.
How many times can a share be opened?
There is no view limit. A share remains accessible until it expires or is deleted.
Can I edit the text after saving?
Signed-in users can edit text they created while it is active. Anonymous shares cannot be edited.
Is the access code strong security?
It helps prevent accidental access but is not strong protection for highly sensitive material. Do not use temporary shares for passwords, private keys, or other secrets.
